US environmental enforcement — EPA ECHO

A free reference of facility-level environmental compliance from the U.S. EPA's public Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO). The high-severity markers surfaced are a formal enforcement action (a penalty-bearing action under the Clean Air, Clean Water, or Resource Conservation and Recovery Acts) and significant non-compliance. Ordinary inspections and informal actions are not surfaced. An enforcement record is a contestable public fact — "subject to a formal action", never "guilty" or "polluter".

The value is cross-register

Environmental enforcement is an operational / regulatory-risk lens. It compounds when joined to the other registers on the same proven entity: a company with a formal EPA action and an SBA credit charge-off, or and an OSHA safety citation, is a cross-register signal a single-source vendor cannot assemble. Browse the cross-register overlaps, resolve a company in the dossier, or read how entities are resolved across registers.

Aggregated and non-nominative: individual facilities and companies are not named on this page. Descriptive counts only — no conclusions.
